San Antonio City: Appalling reports from the heart of Texas emerged on Saturday, revealing a disturbing violent attack involving a youngster and a man in his early thirties. The San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) released an official statement, stating that a 15-year-old has been accused of stabbing a 33-year-old man.
Around 10 p.m., the SAPD received an alert about a possible assault taking place on West Mariposa Drive. The assailant was reported to be potentially suffering a mental health crisis. Upon arriving at the designated location, officers found that the suspect had fled.
A second call, this time reporting a stabbing, redirected the officers to the 300 block of West Wildwood Drive. It was here that they spotted a young boy running with a knife in hand.
Ignoring the police commands, the teenage suspect continued to evade law enforcement. As the situation intensified, a Taser was used by the officers in order to safely apprehend the suspect.
After the arrest, the police found the victim of the assault—a 33-year-old man, suffering from a life-threatening stab wound in his chest. The wounded man was immediately transported to a local hospital for urgent medical attention.
The 15-year-old suspect responsible for the act is facing serious charges. He has been charged with aggravated assault and is in custody.
The case is being considered an ongoing investigation by the authorities. A complete assessment of the incident is underway, and more details will be shared with public once the investigation reaches its final stages.
