The writer and producer, Nancy De Los Santos, initially set out to create a stage show celebrating San Antonio’s rich culture for its 2018 tricentennial. During her journey, she met Rebeca Barrera, a local educator with deep ties to the city. It was a casual conversation that sparked the idea to shift her script from Chicago to San Antonio, and just like that, the stars aligned! De Los Santos shared, “And a light bulb went off in my head. I’m supposed to be doing the movie here [in San Antonio].”

This delightful rom-com features some fantastic actors, including the Puerto Rican heartthrob Luis Fonsi, who’s stepping into his first major film role. Joining him are a trio of fabulous ladies: Vannessa Vásquez, as Adela, Jackie Cruz, as Ruby, and Vivian Lamolli, playing Cristina.
