Arizona-based Wine Café Expands to Second Location Near San Antonio’s Pearl

Phoenix’s Postino Wine Café to open Second Location in San Antonio

Phoenix-based wine café, Postino, is about to make its mark in the southern neighborhood of San Antonio’s Pearl District with its second location set to open this spring at 2600 Broadway. This follows their successful first location which was launched in May 2023.

An Upscale Wine Café Experience for San Antonio Residents

This much-anticipated arrival promises to satiate the palates of wine connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike. By offering a rotating list of boutique wines and Texas craft beers, Postino Wine Café aims to position itself as the go-to spot for those seeking a refined yet relaxed atmosphere. The expansive list includes over 30 wines which can be paired with any of their dozen bruschetta options, paninis, soups, and salads by the glass for $6 during the establishment’s generous happy hour from open to 5 pm daily.

Moreover, a special $25 offer for a bottle and bruschetta board is available on Monday and Tuesday evenings for those unable to make the most of the daily happy hour. From its Mediterranean-inspired menu to the distinct yellow umbrellas and roll-up garage doors, Postino’s unique charm lies in its quest for authenticity and originality in their design and offerings.

Postino’s Signature Design and Neighborhood Connection

Postino takes pride in curating a unique experience at each of its locations by collecting items from local vintage shops, which includes mid-century modern furniture and art objects. Particularly, this new location’s alluring ‘50s building perfectly complements the brand’s sleek retro style, making it an exciting addition to the lively Broadway Street corridor.

“Honestly, it comes down to a feeling in my gut, and I’ve never felt better than I do about opening a Postino on the thriving Broadway Street corridor,” expressed Postino cofounder and CEO Lauren Bailey. She further emphasized, “There is so much to love about San Antonio, including this gateway between Brackenridge Park, the Pearl, and historic downtown.”

A Welcome Addition Amidst Declining Wine Consumption in the US

Despite the trend of reducing wine consumption in the United States over the last few years, the expansion of the wine-based concept like Postino offers a refreshing take on the market. It introduces an upscale yet cozy dining option for the local community and travelers alike. Based on industry trends and local demand, Postino Wine Café’s latest venture promises to infuse the San Antonio dining scene with a novel array of flavors and experiences.
