Mayor declares ‘Heroes 4 CRIT’ Day in San Antonio

San Antonio Mayor, Ron Nirenberg, Designates Saturday as ‘Heroes 4 CRIT’ Day

San Antonio, Texas – In an inspiring show of support towards providing aid for children with disabilities, the Mayor of San Antonio, Ron Nirenberg, has formally proclaimed Saturday as ‘Heroes 4 CRIT’ Day. This was an effort to recognize the volunteers of the Children’s Rehabilitation Institute TeletonUSA (CRIT) and motivate others to lend a helping hand.

Seeking for More ‘Heroes’

Earlier on Saturday, several volunteers were stationed at The Shops at La Cantera in the Northwest Side of the city, advocating for more people who are willing to serve children with disabilities. These volunteers represented the dedicated efforts of CRIT, an organization that has been consistently working towards creating a better life for these children.

In his announcement, Mayor Ron Nirenberg called volunteers ‘heroes’, underlining their vital contribution to the community. “I would love for people to know them and how critical their support is for the future of CRIT and for those families served by CRIT,” stated the Mayor.

Building a Stronger Community

Saturday’s event was attended by several local leaders who joined their efforts to spread awareness about CRIT’s cause. The CEO of CRIT, Federica Soriano, also attended the event, emphasizing the role of these volunteers in shaping the community. “This kind of activities really helps them to see what it’s about. To see that they are responsible to build their community,” said Soriano.

Committed to their mission to aid children with disabilities, CRIT is continually seeking more volunteers to join them. With ‘Heroes 4 CRIT’ Day, they hope to reach out to more compassionate citizens who are willing to contribute their time and effort to create change for these deserving children.

Getting Involved

For those interested in volunteering or supporting CRIT’s mission, they can contact CRIT directly or stop by their facility at Quarry Park. CRIT encourages community members not only to volunteer but to become ‘heroes’ for the children and families they serve.
