A Disturbing Home Invasion

Authorities in San Antonio are seeking the public’s assistance in locating 34-year-old Phillip Joseph Canchola, wanted for an alleged brutal attack on a woman in her home. Canchola is accused of forcing entry into the woman’s residence and physically assaulting her.

The horrifying incident reportedly commenced when Canchola ostensibly kicked in the door of the woman’s West Side residence while she was showering. The victim described being dragged out of the shower by Canchola who then proceeded to accuse her of infidelity.

A Savage Attack

This alleged confrontation was not a simple dispute. According to the victim, Canchola’s jealousy quickly morphed into a fit of rage, resulting in a violent physical attack. Canchola is said to have choked the woman until she lost consciousness.

When she was finally able to regain consciousness, the accused had fled the scene. The timeline of events indicates that the attack occurred, and the woman was unconscious for approximately 15 minutes following the assault.

Evidence at the Crime Scene

On arrival at the crime scene, deputies encountered a chilling sight. The victim had a visible black eye and a one-inch gash on the back of her head. There was also a dented aluminum water can found on the bed, presumably used in the attack.

A Public Appeal for Information

Canchola is described as a 6-feet-2-inches tall male, weighing around 260 pounds. The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is now urging anyone with knowledge of Canchola’s whereabouts to help provide information.

The region’s law enforcement units are appealing to the community’s sense of justice and social responsibility to assist in finding Canchola and ensuring that he will be held accountable for his alleged actions.

Citizens with any information regarding the incident or Canchola’s location are encouraged to contact the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office at (210)335-6000. The Sheriff’s Office stresses that every detail, no matter how minor it seems, may be crucial in apprehending the suspect and helping prevent future violent incidences.
