Violent Incident on South Side: Suspect Flees After Sister Fires Weapon

San Antonio – In a dramatic turn of events early Sunday morning, a man was assaulted with a baseball bat outside a bar, leading to a chaotic scene as his sister took matters into her own hands by firing a weapon at the attackers. Police say the incident unfolded after a confrontation at a bar located in the 4800 block of South Flores Street.

Details of the Incident

Just before 2 a.m., the victim and his family were thrown out of the bar following a dispute involving multiple suspects. After leaving the establishment, they split up and drove away in different vehicles. Approximately an hour later, they stopped in the 9800 block of Collin Grove, where they were unexpectedly followed by the unknown assailants.

Attack with a Baseball Bat

According to the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD), one of the suspects exited a vehicle and started attacking the man with a baseball bat. The situation escalated quickly, prompting the victim’s sister to pull out her own weapon. She fired at the suspects, causing them to flee the scene.

Victim’s Condition

The male victim was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. As of now, there are no reports confirming whether anyone was hit by the gunfire during the exchange. The police have not disclosed whether any suspects have been caught in connection with the incident.
