The restaurant aims to open its doors by August 15, 2025. That gives us a little time to prepare for our new favorite sushi spot!
With a grand total of 7,044 square feet dedicated to this new venture, Takumi is planning to make a big splash in the local dining scene. And it’s not just a small investment. The estimated cost for building this culinary haven is a staggering $900,000! That’s some serious cash, and it shows how committed the owners are to making sure everything is just perfect.

The buzz about Takumi started when a sign for the restaurant appeared in the Alamo Ranch area in May 2024. Local Facebook user Daniel Palacios snapped a photo of it and shared it in the San Antonio Restaurants group, which boasts over 260,000 members. This sparked a lively conversation about what deliciousness might be in store for sushi lovers soon!
