Hispanic Trails Cultural Festival – October 13

Get ready for a vibrant tapestry of culture at the Hispanic Trails Cultural Festival, happening from 1 PM to 8 PM at Wonderland of the Americas. It’s now in its sixth year, celebrating the rich heritage of our Latin-Hispanic community. You’ll be treated to delightful folkloric dances, captivating music, and mouthwatering bites from 15 different countries, all for free! What better way to embrace the spirit of fall?

Fall Festival in Floresville – October 19

A little drive will take you to Floresville for their charming Fall Festival. Running from 11 AM to 4 PM, this event will have a fall maze, s’mores tastings, a friendly baking contest, hay rides, and a classic car show to boot! If you’ve ever dreamed of living in Stars Hollow, this is as close as it gets—without the coffee snobbery, of course!

Luminaria Contemporary Arts Festival – October 19

Also happening on the same day is the Luminaria Contemporary Arts Festival at St. Paul’s Square, running from 6 PM to midnight. With its new location, this festival promises to be one of the most dazzling nights on the calendar. Expect to witness multimedia works of art, they’ll have live music, theatre performances, poetry, and so much more—all free to enjoy!

Monarch Butterfly and Pollinator Festival – October 5

Before we get too deep into October, don’t miss the **Monarch Butterfly and Pollinator Festival** at Brackenridge Park on October 5th from 9 AM to 1 PM. It’s a family-friendly celebration as thousands of colorful butterflies take flight. Enjoy an obstacle course, interactive art, plant giveaways, and live tunes. Plus, the “People as Pollinators Experiment” invites you to dress up as your favorite bird, bug, or bat—how fun does that sound?

Muertos Fest – October 26 & 27

The grandest celebration might just be the Muertos Fest on October 26 and 27 at Hemisfair. With more than 50 performances featuring poets, dancers, and bands (don’t miss headliners like Girl in a Coma and Jesse Borrego), it’s a feast for the senses. The highlight? Over 80 ofrendas honoring cherished loved ones who have passed away. It’s a heartwarming tribute that brings communities together!

San Antonio Beer Festival – October 19

For those who enjoy a good brew, head to Crockett Park on October 19 from noon to 6:30 PM for the San Antonio Beer Festival. With a ticket price ranging from $55 to $110, you’ll have the chance to savor everything from lagers to stouts. Not only will you be tasting great beer, but you’ll also be supporting the San Antonio Food Bank!

Seasonal Job Opportunities at Amazon
