Exciting Expansion: Elsewhere Too Set to Bring Whimsical Fun to San Antonio's Northside

Exciting News for San Antonio: Elsewhere Too is Coming to the Northside!

San Antonio locals, get ready for some whimsical fun! The beloved outdoor beer and wine garden, Elsewhere, which has been a fantastic spot in downtown, is expanding to the Northside. That’s right! The city is about to welcome Elsewhere Too, and it’s looking like a stunning addition to our vibrant community.

What’s the Buzz?

Co-owner Terrin Fuhrmann took to social media to share the exciting news. A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, October 24, marking the start of this magical journey. Fuhrmann expressed his enthusiasm with a heartfelt Facebook post that encapsulated the excitement building around the project: “We’re bringing the magic of Elsewhere to San Antonio’s Northside. Celebrate the beginning of something magical, featuring a Ferris Wheel and a greenhouse pavilion,” he wrote just recently.

Originally announced in 2022, the plan for Elsewhere Too has been in the works, and the owners are charging ahead with hopes of opening the new location by mid to late 2023. This new spot will settle down at 4507 N Loop 1604 W Access Road, conveniently located near NW Military Highway, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, and Picks Bar.

What to Expect?

If you think the original Elsewhere is charming, wait until you hear what’s in store at Elsewhere Too! According to Fuhrmann, the new venue will boast a stunning **52-foot Ferris wheel**—yes, you read that right! And it doesn’t stop there; the place will be sprawled over a generous 6-acre property featuring a 370-square-foot bar and a spectacular 2,500-square-foot old Victorian greenhouse. Imagine hosting a private event or even your wedding in that setting!

But that’s just scratching the surface! As you enter the new bar, you’ll walk through a breathtaking 42-foot curved flower tunnel. Once inside, you can catch the big game on a large LED screen while enjoying the cozy atmosphere created by fire pits, swings, and ample covered seating. Just like its downtown counterpart, you can expect some quirky topiary sculptures and *weird art* scattered throughout the garden, giving it that unique Elsewhere vibe.

More Plans for the Future

There are even more enchanting elements planned for Elsewhere Too! Fuhrmann mentioned an upcoming **secret garden**, a natural pool that will resemble an expansive pond, and, get this, even a hedge maze for a touch of adventure. He expressed his excitement about the potential June 2025 opening for these additional features.

A Love Letter to San Antonio

Fuhrmann, who has deep roots in San Antonio, shared a little about his emotional connection to the city. “I was born and raised here, I love the city. I think San Antonio in the last five years has been poised to grow exponentially in a way that we haven’t seen in a really long time. I’m glad to be on the ground floor of that,” he stated, emphasizing his dedication to enhancing the local community through his ventures.

What’s Next?

As we eagerly await the groundbreaking this month, it’s safe to say that Elsewhere Too is shaping up to be the next hot spot for outdoor fun and relaxation in San Antonio. Whether you’re after a day of rides on the Ferris wheel or just looking for a casual place to enjoy delicious drinks under the stars, this new garden promises to be a delightful addition to our city.

Stay tuned for more updates as we move closer to the ribbon-cutting day!
