This November, Bellagreen, the fast-casual eatery known for its scratch-made, health-conscious dishes, is set to open its doors at 1900 Broadway, Suite 112. The Scoop on Bellagreen
Founded back in 2008 in Dallas, Bellagreen has made quite a name for itself with its focus on wholesome ingredients and vibrant flavors. The chain opened its first Houston location in 2017 and has since expanded to multiple venues in the area. Now, we’re thrilled to see them planting roots in the heart of San Antonio!
San Antonio’s new Bellagreen will be the first in the city, and locals are already buzzing with excitement. The restaurant’s menu is a feast for the senses, featuring a range of items from roasted poblano and corn bisque served with a delightful sandwich to a vibrant vegan fennel salad. On the grand opening day, customers can grab a complimentary soda or tea with their purchase, which is a perfect way to kick off this exciting new dining adventure. And for our active military and veteran community, they will be extending a 15% discount every single day! How awesome is that?
Aside from enticing salads and wholesome bowls, Bellagreen’s menu also boasts hearty meals like Brick Chicken—half an herb-marinated bird sautéed and served with mashed sweet potatoes and roasted veggies. Pizza lovers won’t be disappointed either, as they have a variety of pizzas (including vegan options) alongside mouth-watering burgers, wraps, and sandwiches.

Mark Huffstutler, co-investor and Uvalde restaurateur, shared his excitement about expanding to Central Texas. “We’ve wanted to bring Bellagreen to Central Texas for years and finally found the perfect spot,” he stated in a media release. He emphasized the goal of immersing themselves in San Antonio’s vibrant culture while providing a fresh, inviting option for those living and working downtown.
Speaking of downtown, the new Bellagreen will contribute to the ongoing transformation of the Broadway area—a space that was once dominated by family-style restaurants like Jim’s and Earl Abel’s, but is now moving towards a trendier, more modern dining scene. The Jefferson Bank tower where Bellagreen will reside is already home to other popular spots like Nineteen Hyaku and The Newstand, making it a prime location.
Giving Back to the Community
In addition to satisfying your tastebuds, Bellagreen also believes in giving back. They’re partnering with the Bexar Branches Alliance, an urban forestry nonprofit, and will donate a portion of the proceeds from their fall seasonal menu to support green initiatives in the community.
