Aerosmith Retires from Touring: ‘Peace Out’ Tour No Longer Coming to San Antonio
San Antonio – The legendary rock band Aerosmith has announced their retirement from touring, meaning their highly anticipated “Peace Out” farewell tour will no longer include a stop in San Antonio. Originally scheduled to perform at the Frost Bank Center on November 3, the band has had to cancel due to ongoing health issues faced by lead singer Steven Tyler.
Health Concerns Lead to Difficult Decision
Aerosmith shared their news with fans through an Instagram post, explaining that Tyler has been struggling to recover from a vocal cord injury sustained last year. Since kicking off their tour in September 2023, the band had to postpone several dates due to this injury. Despite medical assistance and care, the band has concluded that a full recovery is not possible for Tyler.
“Sadly, it is clear that a full recovery from his vocal injury is not possible,” Aerosmith stated. “We have made a heartbreaking and difficult, but necessary, decision — as a band of brothers — to retire from the touring stage.”
