Exciting News for Chocolate Lovers in San Antonio!

San Antonio is buzzing with excitement as Chocolatl, a delightful chocolate shop, has officially opened its doors at 18720 Stone Oak Pkwy., Ste.105. This new venture is brought to you by the talented pastry chef Alessia Benavides, who has been serving chocolate lovers online but is now ready to welcome everyone in person. Whether you’re a chocolate connoisseur or just someone with a sweet tooth, Chocolatl is here to satisfy your cravings!

From Online to Brick-and-Mortar

With a strong reputation for quality and creativity as an online shop, Chocolatl has successfully transitioned to a physical space. The shop not only features delicious chocolate treats, but it also includes a swanky classroom kitchen. This space had already been bustling with activity as it exclusively hosted classes since late 2024, honing the skills and sweetening the lives of many aspiring chocolatiers.

A Sip Back in Time

Did you know that the word Chocolatl hails from an ancient Aztec drink that we now know as hot chocolate? This fascinating piece of history is just one of the many charming details that makes Chocolatl stand out. Once you step inside, you will be greeted by an array of mouth-watering, ready-to-eat chocolate delights, including bonbons, chocolate bars, and dragées (these are truffle-like treats with a delightful “puff” center).

Unique and Flavorful Offerings

Prepare your taste buds for a wild adventure with innovative bonbon flavors that you won’t find anywhere else. Options include churro Bailey’s, guava cheesecake, raspberry rosé, and pecan pie among others. And let’s not forget about the eye-catching treats that are not only delicious but are also a feast for the eyes! Think shiny chocolate domes sporting lively colors, fun-shaped chocolates like cheesecake lips, and whimsical themed gift sets that make perfect presents for any occasion.

Learn and Indulge

But Chocolatl isn’t just about indulging in sweet treats! It’s also about sharing the love of chocolate through fun and informative classes. San Antonians can join in on the chocolaty fun with a variety of classes available. Just in the first week of February alone, four classes were already conducted, and more than 30 classes are scheduled for the rest of the month! Chef Alessia, who holds a bachelor’s degree and a baking and pastry certification from Le Cordon Bleu, is well-qualified to lead these sessions, so you are in good hands.

Flexible Classes for Everyone

To cater to chocolate enthusiasts with busy schedules, Chocolatl offers both in-person and online classes that never expire. This flexibility means you can learn at your own pace and at a time that works best for you.
