San Antonio Welcomes Cool, Fall-Like Mornings This Week
San Antonio residents will be enjoying cool, fall-like mornings in the city due to the low humidity levels expected through Tuesday. However, attention will soon shift to the Gulf of Mexico, raising eye brows and inducing speculation on the weather conditions predicted.
A Blast from the Past: Coolest Morning since Late May
Experts have confirmed that the morning of Sunday, September 8, 2024, was the coolest morning San Antonio has experienced in the last 100 days! The pleasant weather can be attributed primarily to the lower humidity levels currently experienced in the city.
Even though the daytime temperatures are still expected to peak within the upper-80s, the negligible humidity will still give residents the wonderful sensation of a much cooler atmosphere. Besides this, the city will also be experiencing breezy conditions, with winds gusting from the north occasionally reaching speeds of up to 25 mph.
The Return of Humidity and All Eyes on the Gulf
As residents soak in the cooler mornings and low humidity days, anticipations are already high for what lies ahead. It is predicted that humidity levels will rise by Wednesday, due to a brewing system predicted in the Gulf of Mexico.
The potential system, predicted to be named “Francine” once it evolves into a tropical storm, is expected to drift away from San Antonio, bringing direct impacts from Matagorda Bay through Houston to Louisiana. At most, San Antonio might experience some isolated rain by Wednesday.
It is acknowledged that tropical systems often change their courses and intensities, hence residents are encouraged to stay tuned to weather updates. However, current analyses indicate that whatever develops in the Gulf of Mexico will primarily impact the regions from Matagorda Bay through Houston and Louisiana.
San Antonio Enjoys Pleasant Weather
For now, the city continues to enjoy pleasant weather with residents urged to take advantage of the cooler temperatures while they last. This break in the heat is a welcome respite for many, and it is hoped that the forewarning of potential changes will allow everyone to prepare accordingly.
