San Antonio Welcomes Delta’s New Boston Connection

Delta Air Lines, a renowned global carrier, announces the launch of their new nonstop flight service from San Antonio International Airport to Boston Logan International Airport. The inaugural flight is set to fly on November 11, further enhancing the San Antonio flight grid with unprecedented connectivity to the East Coast. Travelers can start making their bookings for the new service starting August 10.

Boosting Business and Leisure with a Daily Route

The addition of the San Antonio-Boston route to Delta’s offerings comes in response to strong demand for nonstop service between the two cities. Flights are scheduled to depart once daily all year round, with the flight from San Antonio to Boston scheduled to leave at 2 p.m, while the return service from Boston is slated to depart at 9:15 a.m.

Exciting Developments for the Local Economy

Mayor Ron Nirenberg expressed his delight at Delta’s decision to introduce the new route, stating, “Delta’s timely decision to serve this route demonstrates the strong demand between San Antonio and Boston and that it warrants nonstop service on a legacy carrier.” He further noted the growing momentum of SAT and Delta’s expanding presence in San Antonio.

Reflecting on the potential impact on the local industries, Jesus Saenz, the Director of Airports for the City of San Antonio Aviation Department, stated, “This is fantastic news for San Antonians, especially our business travelers from our bioscience, technology, and financial industries.

Expanded Coverage by Delta

The new San Antonio-Boston service supplements Delta’s existing roster of destinations from San Antonio, which comprises other key cities including Atlanta, Detroit, Los Angeles, Minneapolis-St. Paul, New York-JFK, and Salt Lake City. With its continuing expansion, Delta Air Lines is set to further cement its position as a preferred airline for both leisure and corporate travellers from San Antonio.

As the local travel industry recuperates from its pandemic downturn, the additional nonstop flight service is expected to provide a significant boost, invigorating growth and promoting accessibility for travelers tracing the San Antonio-Boston route.
