Downtown San Antonio Streets Closing for Filming of ‘1923’

If you’re in San Antonio this September, get ready for some roadblocks! Several streets in the downtown area will close as Paramount+ shoots the highly anticipated second season of the popular series ‘1923’, a prequel to ‘Yellowstone’.

Filming Schedule and Street Closures

The filming will run until September 27, calling for varying street closures throughout the month. Here’s what you should keep in mind:

September 6-15

  • Roads and sidewalks will open, but street parking will close on Broadway between East Pecan and East Travis streets.

September 16-18

  • Sidewalks will open, but Broadway between East Pecan and East Houston streets will be closed to cars.
  • Peacock Alley and East Travis Street will also see closures.
  • Northbound traffic will still be allowed on Broadway between East Pecan and 3rd streets.

September 19

  • Expect morning sidewalk closures on Broadway, with hopes of reopening by afternoon.
  • All previously mentioned street closures will remain in effect.

September 20-25

  • Sidewalks open, but no vehicle access will be allowed on Broadway between East Pecan and East Houston streets.
  • Ongoing closures on Peacock Alley and East Travis Street.
  • Northbound traffic will still flow on Broadway between East Pecan and 3rd streets.

September 26-27

  • The filming area will be fully restored, and all services will resume normal operations by the end of the day.
