San Antonio is buzzing with excitement as Elsewhere, the enchanting beer and wine garden that has captured the hearts of many, announces its expansion to the Northside. The owners, Terrin Fuhrmann and Nolan Ellis, have shared details about their new location, aptly named Elsewhere Too, which promises to bring even more whimsy and fun to the community.
Mark your calendars! The groundbreaking ceremony for Elsewhere Too is set for Thursday, October 24. Fuhrmann took to Facebook to share his enthusiasm: “We’re bringing the magic of Elsewhere to San Antonio’s Northside. Celebrate the beginning of something magical, featuring a Ferris Wheel and a greenhouse pavilion.” It’s hard not to feel the excitement as this project gears up to take flight.
Planning for Elsewhere Too began back in 2022, with hopes of welcoming guests by mid to late 2023. This new location will sit on a sprawling 6-acre property at 4507 N Loop 1604 W Access Road, conveniently near NW Military Highway and just a stone’s throw from Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Picks Bar. This location is set to become a hotspot for social gatherings, and the offerings sound incredible!
Here’s what to look forward to: a giant 52-foot Ferris wheel that’s sure to be a delightful centerpiece, alongside a 370-square-foot bar for all your beverage needs. Not to mention a stunning 2,500-square-foot Victorian greenhouse that can be transformed into the perfect venue for private events and weddings. Imagine hosting a magical wedding or an unforgettable birthday bash in such a charming setting!
Elsewhere Too promises an experience beyond just great drinks. Guests can wander through a lovely 42-foot curved flower tunnel as they arrive, enjoy a large LED screen for catching the latest sports games, snuggle up by fire pits, and even relax on swings! When the sun sets, the space will be beautifully lit, creating the perfect ambiance for a night out.
Just like its downtown counterpart, Elsewhere Too will feature whimsical topiary sculptures and amusing “weird art” that sparks joy and brings smiles to everyone who visits. After all, part of the magic of Elsewhere has always been its unique and playful atmosphere.
But that’s not all! Fuhrmann also hinted at some really exciting plans for the new location. How about a secret garden where visitors can escape reality for a bit? Or a natural pool that looks like a serene pond? And don’t forget about a hedge maze that’s sure to be a hit for kids and adults alike. These features are just a taste of what’s to come.
There’s even talk about an anticipated opening date in June 2025, which feels like just around the corner for those eagerly waiting to grab a drink on that charming patio. Fuhrmann, who has a rich history in the San Antonio bar scene with places like Ivy Rooftop and Greenhouse, is dedicated to making Elsewhere Too an unforgettable place for both locals and visitors. “I was born and raised here, I love the city,” he shared. “I think San Antonio in the last five years has been poised to grow exponentially in a way that we haven’t seen in a really long time. I’m glad to be on the ground floor of that.”
In a city that thrives on community and connection, Elsewhere Too aspires to be a gathering place brimming with joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories. So, keep your eyes peeled for this upcoming gem in San Antonio, and get ready to enjoy all the magic that awaits. It’s just around the corner!
