Exciting Changes in San Antonio Dining Scene This Fall

As summer fades and the crisp air of fall settles in, San Antonio is buzzing with delicious news. It seems that everyone is feeling the spirit of change— from football season to those iconic pumpkin-flavored treats, and among it all, restaurants are debuting some fabulous new menus and concepts. Let’s dive into the details!

Jardin’s New Breakfast and Brunch Adventure

Firstly, let’s talk about Jardin, a hidden gem nestled within the serene San Antonio Botanical Garden. Just in time for fall, Jardin has rolled out a fully revamped menu that shines a light on breakfast, brunch, and lunch. Now open exclusively for these meals, this cozy spot is welcoming patrons with some mouth-watering options. Think of enjoying blueberry waffles topped with orange zest crème fraîche or digging into some heavenly tiramisu pancakes.

Feeling like a savory choice? You might want to try their lamb burgers or the delicious pan-seared salmon. And, it doesn’t stop at the food! To complement your meal, Jardin offers a delightful range of drinks, including an assortment of mimosas, a fun Bloody Mary bar, and even boozy milkshakes. Coffee enthusiasts should definitely not skip the Turkish semolina halva cappuccino with saffron-pistachio syrup—talk about a unique treat! The new menu is served daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., making it perfect for a late brunch or an early lunch. You can find Jardin at 555 Funston Place.

San Antonio Zoo Expands Its Dining Options

San Antonio Zoo is revamping its food landscape as well! The zoo revealed that a new food and beverage concept will replace Riverview, their featured restaurant. Renovations are set to start this week, so keep your eyes peeled for updates on this tasty transformation!

Looking ahead, the zoo has some fantastic expansions on the docket. Look out for the Spekboom Lodge, which is expected to launch overnight experiences later this year, and the eagerly anticipated Ralston event center slated for opening around 2025 or 2026. You can visit the zoo at 3903 N St Mary’s Street.

Caffeine & Canines at Hops & Hounds

For caffeine lovers, Hops & Hounds has expanded its offerings with a new concept: Grounds & Hounds. You can kickstart your day at this dog-friendly food park, which now serves up delicious coffee delights from local favorite What’s Brewing. Their fall drink menu has officially launched, featuring unique concoctions like the Salty Dog and Chocolate Lab—isn’t that fun?

Grounds & Hounds is open every weekday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and weekends from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., so whether you’re out with your furry friend or grabbing a morning pick-me-up, this spot has you covered. Check them out at 1123 Ave B.

Sweet Treats at 7 Brew Coffee

And we can’t forget about 7 Brew Coffee, which has rolled out a tasty new fall drink menu! Offering seasonal favorites, they even have a fun giveaway for fans of delicious drinks.
