An exciting opportunity has come up for locals in San Antonio looking to get a taste of the film industry. The television series ‘1923’, a Yellowstone prequel, is urgently seeking background actors for scenes to be filmed in San Antonio on September 23.
Legacy Casting, the agency handling the casting call, announced the opening on a Facebook post made on September 11. According to them, the shoot on September 23 will span a full 12-hour period, starting early in the morning around 5 a.m. Legacy Casting made the submission process convenient: applications can be submitted via the company’s online platform, MyCastingFile.com, or through an email to extras@legacycasting.com.
The San Antonio Film Commission disclosed that the ‘1923’ production team will be shooting along downtown San Antonio. The specific locations include Broadway, between East Pecan Street and East Houston Street, and the areas surrounding East Travis Street and Peacock Alley extending from Jefferson Street up to North Alamo Street. These shooting venues, which are planned for the week of September 16, will inevitably generate street closures impacting pedestrian and commuter traffic movements.
‘1923’, a prequel to the popular television series ‘Yellowstone’, focuses on the Dutton family’s struggles during the mundane realities of the Great Depression and Prohibition. Its star-studded cast includes acclaimed actors Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren. This ongoing casting is not just a chance to be part of a powerhouse series; it is also an opportunity to immerse oneself in an important part of American history.
It’s indeed a golden opportunity for those yearning for a step into the entertainment industry. If you dream of seeing yourself in the world of acting or on the big screen, now is the perfect time to step out of the shadows and making that dream come true. Do not miss this chance to stand alongside industry veterans and learn first-hand from the best in the business.
