Hey there, San Antonio parents! If you’re looking for a way to brighten your child’s smile without breaking the bank, you’re in luck. February is not just any month; it’s National Children’s Dental Health Month, and there’s a fantastic opportunity for your little ones to receive free dental cleaning!
As part of the “Making San Antonio Smile” initiative, Concorde Career Colleges is teaming up with PDS Health to bring free dental care to children across the city. This wonderful program is set to provide essential dental services to children aged 4 to 17 years. Isn’t that awesome?
So, what exactly can your child expect? The free services will include x-rays, cleanings, and preventive treatments. Plus, don’t worry about who’s providing the care—Concorde dental hygiene students will be delivering these services under the watchful eye of licensed professionals, ensuring quality and care.
Put down those dates! On February 17, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., all the action will happen at Concorde Career College, located at 4803 NW Loop 410, Suite 200, San Antonio. But remember—this is first-come, first-served. Make sure to pre-register, as slots are limited.
And if that’s not enough, there’s more good news! Don’t miss Sharing Smiles Day, happening on May 19, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. CT. This is another fantastic opportunity as six Texas dental practices will come together to offer free dental care to children who are uninsured or underinsured, along with their families.
The list of participating dental practices is impressive! Families can visit Allington Dental, Goodland Dentistry, Jubilee Dental, Pinova Dental, and Topaz Dentistry for free dental care services. These services will vary but may include dental exams, limited emergency care, extractions, restorative care, and limited cleanings.
Similar to the February event, families are encouraged to register in advance for Sharing Smiles Day. You can find more information and register at www.SharingSmilesDay.com. Remember, appointments are limited, so it’s better to secure yours early!
This initiative is especially crucial as it aims to address the high rates of tooth decay affecting children, particularly those from low- or limited-income families. Over the last eight years, more than 3,000 patients have received vital dental relief through Sharing Smiles Day.
The organizations behind these events, like Benevis, are dedicated to providing quality dental care to underserved communities. They operate over 100 dental offices that serve around 5 million patients each year, offering families the dental health access they truly deserve.
With these upcoming events, there’s no excuse for your child’s dental health to fall by the wayside. Help them keep those pearly whites bright and shining by taking advantage of these amazing free dental care events available right here in San Antonio!
Mark your calendars, pre-register, and get ready to share some smiles!
