SAN ANTONIO – Following a summer filled with record-breaking concerts, including a phenomenal performance at Kyle Field in College Station, country music legend George Strait has announced his return to Texas. The singer will bring his time-honored tunes to San Antonio, performing in front of an impressive audience at the Patriot Awards Gala in October.
The Patriot Awards Gala, scheduled for October 3rd, is part of the Congressional Medal of Honor Society Convention. The annual event will occur in San Antonio for the first time this year, amplifying the anticipation for local and out-of-state fans alike.
Along with Strait’s esteemed performance, the Gala is set to gather a significant collection of distinguished guests. Upwards of forty amongst the sixty living recipients of the Medal of Honor, the highest American award for military service, are expected to take part in the illustrious event.
Distinctive guests do not stop at Medal of Honor recipients. An array of Texas legends will also be honored at the Gala. Among the honorees are the actor and martial artist Chuck Norris and the Gene–and–Jerry Jones family. The latter will receive the Patriot Award, the Society’s highest honor.
Additionally, Richard M “Tres” Kleberg III, Fox news anchor Martha MacCallum, and actor Taylor Kitsch will be receiving recognitions. According to the event’s website, the Patriot Award will be accepted by Charlotte Jones, daughter of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who has been significantly involved in fundraising efforts for the recently proposed National Medal of Honor Museum. The museum is slated for launch in March in Arlington, Texas.
Serving as the master of ceremonies for the resplendent occasion is actor Gary Sinese, enhancing the star-studded flair of the event.
