Grupo Siggno’s Truck Full of Equipment Stolen in San Antonio

Tejano band, Grupo Siggno, has suffered a major loss when their truck loaded with hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of touring equipment was stolen in San Antonio’s southeast side earlier this week.
Precious Equipment Stolen
On Monday evening, in the 8000 block of City Base Landing, the band’s U-Haul carrying their essential gear, including lighting systems, speakers, merchandise and other equipment wholly vanished. According to singer Jesse Turner‘s Facebook Live post, the band is currently on tour and last performed on Sunday in Premont, situated just two hours south of San Antonio.
“You never expect it to happen to you,” an emotional Turner confessed in the live video. “When it happens, it’s a hard pill to swallow.” The San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) estimates that the equipment stolen is worth between $150,000 and $300,000.
Investigation Underway
Before any formal report was made, Bexar County’s Sheriff’s Office found the U-Haul. Both the SAPD and the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office are now collectively instigating the theft. No arrests have been made as of Wednesday afternoon.
Call for Public Support:
In his Facebook post, Turner unequivocally expressed his passion for his work and deep frustration over this unfortunate incident. “People can steal my equipment… but people cannot steal my drive,” Turner defiantly stated. A resolute plea has been extended to the public to report any information regarding the theft or if anyone is found selling the band’s merchandise or production equipment.
“I don’t know how we are going to move forward,” a visibly shaken Turner admitted. The band is however set to perform at the Southern Junction in Irving this Friday.
