New Interactive Music and Arts Exhibition to Launch at TPR

San Antonio – A fresh and dynamic interactive exhibition is set to debut at Texas Public Radio (TPR) headquarters, inviting residents of San Antonio to explore the fascinating fusion of music and motion. Ambient electronic group, A.M. Architect, is behind this groundbreaking project, bracing to take visitors on an immersive journey through a world where every movement triggers musical notes, creating a harmonious symphony in real-time.

Turning Movement into Melody

Named Svara-Svapna, the exhibition is inspired by ‘svara’ – an ancient Indian concept signifying ‘goddess of sound’. The unique exhibit allows the audience’s movement and location to dictate the generation of various musical notes, simultaneously orchestrating entrancing light patterns.

Visitors can effortlessly weave their way through the exhibition, their motions intricately tied to the creation of captivating melodies and dynamic visual shows. The exhibition’s potential to forge multi-sensory experiences offers everyone a chance to engage in creative exploration, regardless of their familiarity with technology or music.

Creators’ Insight

A.M. Architect, comprising artists Daniel Stanush and Diego Chavez, is no stranger to marvels of music fusion. Having spun their magic on tracks for ambient trip-hop duo, Arms and Sleepers, and being featured in high-profile fashion films, Stanush and Chavez have consistently pushed boundaries to create fulfilling artistic experiences.

“We take pride in offering a platform where people, perhaps encountering such technology for the first time, can engage and interact in ways that are both accessible and enriching. It’s about breaking barriers and fostering curiosity, ultimately empowering individuals to explore and create art,” explained Stanush.

Chavez, on the other hand, expressed his anticipation of the interaction between participants’ movement and sound. “I’m eager to witness the blend of movement and sound as participants explore and create their own unique melodies, weaving together a tapestry of creativity and curiosity.”

Exhibition Details

Svara-Svapna will be exhibited inside TPR’s Malú and Carlos Alvarez Theatre on June 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. as part of Make Music Day, a 12-hour event that will host a multitude of artists on the premise. In addition to the interactive exhibition, several performances by artists like The 501s, Pop Pistol, and Andria Rose will take over the grounds along the San Pedro Creek at the TPR headquarters.

Folks missing the debut day can catch the exhibition on June 20 from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. during TPR’s Summer Night City.

Being a community-funded organization, TPR encourages their supporters who appreciate their unwavering commitment towards responsible journalism, to make a contribution to continue these ventures.

This exhibition promises to bring a unique experience to San Antonians, encouraging them to engage with music and art like never before. The blend of technology, creativity, and audience engagement offers a refreshing approach to artistic expression, promoting a sense of community and curiosity while remaining accessible to all.
