Judson ISD Breaks Ground on Perimeter Fencing and Gates Project

Judson ISD administration and staff recently marked a milestone with the groundbreaking of a districtwide project aimed at enhancing safety and security at several campuses. The groundbreaking ceremony for the perimeter fencing and gates project took place on February 23.
The Details
The project entails the installation of perimeter fencing and gates at five select campuses within the Judson Independent School District. The schools included in this phase of the project are:
- Kirby Middle School
- Judson Middle School
- Olympia Elementary School
- Judson High School
- Wagner High School
During a board of trustees meeting on February 15, the approval of $774,736 was granted for this project, which will be funded through bond funds approved in 2022. The initial phase of the project is slated for completion by June of this year.
Documents submitted by district staff indicate that the entire project, covering a total of 19 campuses, is anticipated to be finalized by the fall season. This initiative underscores Judson ISD’s commitment to fortifying security measures across its educational facilities.
