San Antonio, TX – In the spirit of community celebration, the San Antonio Fire Museum plans to host a grand free festival this Labor Day. This annual event endeavors to bring families and friends together to celebrate the toil and sweat of American workers. The festival will offer a mix of exciting events, which include a captivating live musical performance, indulgent food options, and an exceptional car and fire truck show.
This year’s Labor Day festival is set to take place on September 1 from 11 a.m. through 10 p.m. at Mission County Park #2, 6030 Padre Drive.
Music lovers can look forward to an electrifying live music experience as part of the festival’s line-up. In addition to music, a car and fire truck show will also take place, promising a sterling display of classic and vintage cars and fire trucks.
No festival is complete without a spread of delectable food. Attendees can look forward to an array of food vendors bringing diverse cuisine options to the table. There will also be barbecue plates and a variety of drinks on offer. This ensures that the festival attendees can savor a gastronomical journey alongside the day’s entertainment.
The festival will also cater to families with a dedicated kids’ play area. Planned to keep the young ones entertained, this area will be filled with games and activities. Additionally, the festival will host a silent auction and a truck raffle, adding an element of intrigued to the overall celebratory vibe.
Proceeds from the festival will be directed towards the maintenance of the San Antonio Fire Museum along with its collection of antique trucks and other displays. The museum, located at 801 E. Houston St., stays open from Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m. Admission to the museum typically costs $4 for children aged 3-12, $6 for seniors 60 and older, and $10 for adults. However, Bexar County residents can avail free admission on the first Tuesday of the month.
The San Antonio Fire Museum’s Labor Day festival offers an ideal opportunity for community members to gather and celebrate while supporting a noble cause.
