San Antonio is set to come alive this week with the sound of music from some of the biggest names in hip-hop, country, and roots-rock genres. Fans will get to see country hitmaker Zach Bryan, rap icon Ice Cube and esteemed Americana figures Dave Alvin and Jimmie Dale Gilmore, all set to perform in the city.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, Zach Bryan brings his country flair to Frost Bank Center. Bryan’s star has been on the rise since his 2022 breakout American Heartbreak. The performances will promote his newly released album The Great American Bar Scene. Tickets range from $185-$525, starting 7 p.m.

Ice Cube, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, E-40, Xzibit

Saturday brings hip-hop legend Ice Cube to the stage at Frost Bank Center. Known for his extensive contribution to the rap scene, from his origins with NWA to a successful solo career, his fans can expect a career-spanning setlist at the show. The concert also features Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, E-40 and Xzibit, promising a thrilling display of some of the genre’s top talents. Tickets are priced between $53.50-$209, starting at 7:30 p.m.

Dave Alvin and Jimmie Dale Gilmore

On Sunday, roots-rock giants Dave Alvin and Jimmie Dale Gilmore will grace the stage at Sam’s Burger Joint. These seasoned artists, who have both achieved phenomenal success in their respective genres, sweeten the deal for fans with their 2018 release Downey to Lubbock, which they are promoting during their stop in San Antonio. Fans can join the concert for a starting price of $25 to $100, starting at 7 p.m.

The following Tuesday, Australian indie-surf band Vacations will be returning to the city for the second time in less than a year. Fans can expect a “woozy guitar pop” performance. L.A.’s Soft Blue Shimmer will be opening, with thoughtful melodic indie-rock. Fellow Aussie singer-songwriter Alex Lahey is also on the bill, bringing her catchy, propulsive new wave-ish rock to the table. Tickets are priced at $41-$86, starting at 8 p.m. at Aztec Theatre.
