Mother of Three Missing in San Antonio: Community Rallies for Help

San Antonio, Texas — In a distressing turn of events, a 31-year-old mother named Cindy Gausline has gone missing from her apartment on the east side of San Antonio, leaving her family and friends deeply concerned. Cindy, who is affectionately nicknamed “Shortie” by her loved ones, stepped out of her home on Sunday and has not been seen or heard from since.

The Last Moments

According to her brother, James Gausline, Cindy left her apartment with only the clothes on her back, indicating that she might not have planned to be away for long. Strikingly, the last interaction her family had with her was a phone call on the same night she vanished. “It’s weird because her daughter said she was laughing and smiling as she was walking out the door,” shared James. However, those cheerful moments turned into confusion and concern when Cindy didn’t return home as promised.

What Happened?

Clad in a black dress and high-top sneakers, Cindy assured her daughter that she would be back in a couple of hours or by morning. However, she left without any means of transportation and was last seen walking away on foot. James noted, “She didn’t even have a car. She left walking.” Alarmingly, all of Cindy’s personal belongings were still in her apartment when her family reported her missing.

Community Involvement

Worried about her safety, Cindy’s family filed a missing persons report the day after her disappearance. They are actively engaging the community to help locate her, handing out flyers at the Seven07 Lofts, where she lived, in hopes that someone may have seen or heard from her.

“The more eyes and ears out there in the community, the closer we might be able to get to something,” James explained, showing his determination to bring his sister back home.

Health Concerns

Compounding the worries, police have classified Cindy as an endangered missing person, sharing that she has a medical condition—though specific details remain undisclosed. Additionally, it’s been revealed that Cindy lost her job after a serious accident involving a truck back in July, adding to her vulnerability during this troubling time.

Final Contact

The last person to hear from Cindy was her daughter, who received a call at around 9:30 PM on the night she went missing. Through a Facebook messenger call, Cindy expressed to her daughter that something was going on and that she was scared. Just as quickly as the call came, it disconnected, and no one has been able to reach her since.

Physical Description

As the search continues, family members have provided a description of Cindy to aid in finding her. She stands at 4’11” with hazel eyes and distinctive red curly hair. She is also marked by several tattoos, including a clown on her hand, a Virgo symbol on her left wrist, a SpongeBob tattoo on her right arm, an infinity symbol with the words “Through thick and thin” on her left side, and “Thomas” in red on her left shoulder.

Children’s Well-Being

In the midst of this distressing situation, Cindy’s three children, who are aged 6, 11, and 14, are currently staying with family and friends for support during this challenging time.

Local authorities and family members are pleading with the community: if you have any information regarding Cindy’s whereabouts, please reach out to the San Antonio Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit at 210-207-7660.
