San Antonio’s local breweries took their part seriously, showcasing some of their top-rated brews for this frothy occasion. Here are several of the capital’s breweries and their top brews gathered in honor of the nationally celebrated day.
Situated at 202 Lamar Street, AlamoBeer’s top drink for the day was their Alamo Golden Ale, a malty pilsner with 4.7% ABV.
On 516 Brooklyn Avenue, Back Unturned brewed up their famous Beer Juice, a creamy, juicy hazy IPA with a solid 7% ABV.
At 1602 E Houston Street, patrons enjoyed Black Laboratory’s Vanilla Joe Stout, a dark beer with a mix of Costa Rican coffee and Mexican vanilla, standing at 6% ABV.
The Blue Star on 1414 S Alamo Street offered the Cherry Geyser, a unique sour aged in oak berry with cherry, sitting at 3.8% ABV.
For beer enthusiasts visiting 1518 E Grayson Street, the bestselling Maglia Rosa, a light pale ale with grapefruit and hops hints, with a 5.5% ABV, was a must-try.
At 7114 Oaklawn Drive, the Slippery Rock, an IPA with a citrusy hop and caramel touch boasted a 7.1% ABV.
Located at 231 E Cevallos, Dos Sirenos served the Morpheus Stout, an imperial stout with dark chocolate and coffee flavor, boasting a high 10.2% ABV.
At 2000 S Presa Street, they offered the unique Puro Pickles, a sour gose with pickle, cucumber, and spicy flavors, standing at 4.7% ABV.
The folks at Künstler on 302 East Lachapelle served their Chamuco, a delicious herbed beer with chocolate, vanilla, and cinnamon sitting comfortably at 7% ABV.
This brewery at 4700 Timco W presented their Phantom Fighter, a crisp kolsch with mellow bitterness, sitting at 4.9% ABV.
