Hounds Town USA, a popular pet care service provider, has now expanded its operations in the Northeast San Antonio Metrocom. Founded by a former New York Police Department and Nassau County Police canine handler, Michael S. Gould, back in 2000, the pet spa is now ready to offer its exceptional dog and cat boarding services across the city.

Along with the pet care facility, two other stores, Smoothie King and Leslie’s Pool Supplies, also opened their doors to San Antonio residents. When it comes to eco-friendly practices, the Sweet Land of Litter Free Refillery is leading by example, located at 18771 FM 2252, this store focuses on selling natural soaps, lotions, and other cosmetic products with refillable containers to combat plastic waste. Alongside, Chick-fil-A Supply has established a new distribution center in Selma to streamline its supply chain throughout South Texas.
Anticipated openings in the area also include Parry’s Pizzeria & Taphouse, known for its New York-style pizzas and a wide selection of craft beers. Besides, pet owners can look forward to FluffButts Pet Grooming, which promises full-service pet grooming options for both cats and dogs.
Another pet care clinic, CityVet, will be launched soon, focusing on wellness, surgical care, pharmacy, and boarding facilities for pets.
A forthcoming highlight is the opening of Mattenga’s Pizzeria, a prominent brand offering a wide variety of pizzas, pizza rolls, and other delicacies. For sports enthusiasts, Dick’s House of Sports, derived from Dick’s Sporting Goods, is aiming to be a one-stop shop for all sports needs, featuring a rock climbing wall, batting cages, and other sport-focused amenities – making it an exciting addition to Live Oak Town Center.
There’s also news of the Starbucks located off FM 3009 undergoing renovations to reestablish itself as a military family store. This initiative is set to throw more light on stores located closer to military bases.
Amidst these changes, the consequential merger of Cedar Fair – the parent company of Schlitterbahn, and Six Flags, is creating fascinating ripples in the amusement industry, resulting in an $8 billion entity. Even though the combined company will operate under the Six Flags name, it is still expected to retain park names like Schlitterbahn.
Lastly, the South Korean-based bb.q Chicken is set to bring its world-famous Korean-styled fried chicken to Live Oak and is destined to be a popular addition to the diverse food scene.
