If you’re a fan of delicious Tex-Mex cuisine, we’ve got some great news coming out of San Antonio and Fredericksburg! The well-known restaurant group, Adair Concepts, is making waves with plans to open a new location of Los Tios as well as an all-day dining experience called Adair Kitchen. Both are set to delight residents and visitors alike in 2025, and one of them will be ready to serve delicious bites even sooner!
Los Tios has been a beloved spot for Tex-Mex classics since its inception in 1970 and has continued to be a crowd favorite since Adair Concepts took over the restaurant in 2000. Known for scrumptious bites like shrimp enchiladas, fajitas, and their signature Puffy Queso, which features a delightful puffed shell filled with warm, cheesy goodness, this restaurant is gearing up to expand its presence. While there are currently six locations in Houston, the new San Antonio spot will be conveniently located just a block away from Adair Kitchen at 4820 Broadway, opening in early 2025.
For those in Fredericksburg, you’ll find Los Tios right in the heart of the city’s historic district at 203 E. San Antonio St. This location is on track to open its doors later this year, allowing visitors to enjoy those mouth-watering dishes before you know it!
Now, let’s talk about Adair Kitchen. Set to take over the former Jim’s Restaurant at 4108 Broadway, this all-day restaurant will focus on elevated comfort foods. With a targeted opening in early 2025, it’ll be dishing up breakfast, lunch, and dinner options that will have something for everyone. From breakfast tacos to hearty dinner plates like roasted chicken and pasta, the menu is crafted with family favorites in mind.
The thought of indulging in chicken and waffles or a cozy meatloaf is already making our mouths water! Adair Kitchen promises a delightful dining experience with a curated selection, including grain bowls, burgers, and salads. Talk about a place that covers all cravings!
Nick Adair, president of Adair Concepts, shared his vision for Adair Kitchen, expressing a fondness for the unique atmosphere of the building. “We’re not going in and making it into a glass box,” he noted, adding that he plans to preserve many of the building’s original mid-century vibes. The goal is to maintain the charm and light of this special spot while creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for diners to enjoy.
You might wonder why Adair Concepts chose Fredericksburg for this expansion. Well, Nick and his wife, Alice, already have a foot in the door with their Trueheart Hotel, just a couple of blocks away from the upcoming Los Tios. “Having already-established roots in Fredericksburg heavily encouraged our decision to expand into the area,” Nick expressed enthusiastically. It sounds like they are genuinely excited to become a part of Fredericksburg’s unique community and bring top-notch Tex-Mex dining to the region!
If you’re a resident of San Antonio or Fredericksburg, or just passing through, get ready to mark your calendars! With Los Tios and Adair Kitchen set to open their doors soon, it looks like there are some delicious dining experiences ahead. So gather your friends and family— you won’t want to miss out on the vibrant flavors that these new spots are sure to bring!
Keep your appetites ready, because it looks like that Tex-Mex and elevated comfort food will become an exciting part of your culinary adventures in the coming months!
