Driver Suffers Critical Injuries Following North Side Crash, SAPD Reports

Collision occurred near Gold Canyon Road and Redland Road Intersection

The San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) reported a severe accident Friday afternoon that left one driver critically injured. The dangerous collision took place around 4:30 p.m. on the intersection of Gold Canyon Road and Redland Road on the North Side, with a truck crossing the median and colliding with another vehicle.

Details of the Incident

According to the SAPD officers, a silver truck crossed the median unexpectedly for reasons yet unclear and t-boned another vehicle. The impact of the crash was so immense that it caused the second vehicle involved to flip over, before settling down on a nearby sidewalk.

The driver of the silver truck, responsible for the accident, sustained critical injuries and was immediately transported to a local hospital for emergency medical attention. As for the second driver, who’s vehicle flipped over, he fortunately suffered only minimal injuries according to the police report.

The SAPD has initiated a thorough investigation into the unfortunate incident, with traffic investigation experts meticulously inspecting the scene of the accident for any clues or indications that might shed light on what precisely led to the collision.
