Energized Gathering to Celebrate LGBTQ+ Community Pride with Main Strip Parade

San Antonio – It’s time to dust off those rainbow flags, as San Antonio’s Pride Bigger Than Texas Festival and Parade are scheduled to take place this Saturday. The city’s vibrant LGBTQ+ community is poised to host a day filled with color, celebration, and unity.

Festival at Crockett Park

This year’s main festivities will be held at Crockett Park and make space for a wide array of activities. Participants can look forward to food stands, live entertainment, and a myriad of small-business vendors bringing their unique products and services to the fore.

The festival will also feature a Pride Wedding, a sweet testament to the spirit of inclusivity and love that the event promotes. For those interested in more physical activities, Texas wrestling is another highlight that sports enthusiasts should not miss. Another significant component of the festival is a health fair advocating for the well-being of the community.

The festival will kick off at 11 a.m. and continue until 11 p.m., allowing all attendees 12 and older to thoroughly enjoy this daylong fiesta. Advance tickets are available online, and participants are encouraged to acquire their tickets early.

Pride Night Parade

Following the daytime festivities, the Pride Bigger Than Texas Night Parade will kickstart at 9 p.m. The parade path will flow south from West Dewey Place to West Euclid Avenue along North Main Avenue.

Expect a vibrant display of diversity as individuals and groups display their pride for the LGBTQ+ community. Attendees on the sidelines are permitted to bring coolers, ice chests, food, and drinks alongside the parade route to enjoy this spectacle and ease into the night festivities.

Many LGBTQ+ nightspots along the Main Strip parade route will offer viewing sites to partake in the parade spectacle. Plus, some venues have planned special events and stunning drag performances for the occasion.

A Celebration of Love and Acceptance

The Pride Bigger Than Texas Festival and Parade is a vibrant celebration of the LGBTQ+ community, reflecting the love, acceptance, and strength of diversity within San Antonio.

While the event provides a space for the community to stand together in pride and solidarity, it also extends an open invitation to allies and visitors. The festival and parade offer an excellent opportunity to see, hear and embrace the diversity that weaves San Antonio’s unique social fabric.
