Big news for San Antonio! The city has officially celebrated the grand opening of Los Arcos at VIDA, its first affordable multi-family housing complex. This project is a significant achievement for the community and a step forward in addressing the urgent need for affordable living options in the area.
Los Arcos at VIDA is no ordinary development. It proudly stands as the very first completed rental production community approved by voters through the 2022 Affordable Housing Bond. With an impressive total investment of $81.37 million, the project has garnered support from multiple sources, including a substantial $2.06 million from the Affordable Housing Bond, along with additional funding from various grants. This collaborative effort emphasizes the importance of teamwork when it comes to creating community-driven solutions for housing challenges.
One of the standout features of Los Arcos at VIDA is its commitment to inclusivity. The development has a total of 324 housing units designated for various Area Median Income (AMI) levels, making it accessible to a diverse range of residents. The breakdown is as follows: 49 homes are available for those at 30% AMI, 161 homes for those at 60% AMI, and 114 homes for those at 70% AMI. This variety ensures that families and individuals from different economic backgrounds can find a place to call home.
When it comes to living spaces, Los Arcos at VIDA offers a wide selection, tailored to meet different family needs. Potential residents can choose from a range of unit types, including 12 one-bedroom apartments, 132 two-bedroom apartments, 144 three-bedroom apartments, and 36 four-bedroom apartments.
