San Antonio, a city renowned for its rich history and vibrant culture, has added one more feather to its cap. Local auto dealer North Park Subaru, in conjunction with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, recently made a significant contribution to support local cancer patients undergoing treatment. North Park Subaru, prominently known for its charity work, got engaged in this noble cause, making San Antonio proud once again.
North Park Subaru and Leukemia & Lymphoma Society – A Beneficent Partnership
On June 18, representatives from North Park Subaru and the San Antonio chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) assembled to donate 80 blankets, patient care kits and handwritten messages of hope. The recipients of such kindness were the patients at Texas Oncology-San Antonio Downtown, a leading medical provider in the region specializing in cancer treatments. This noble act is part of Subaru’s national initiative, Subaru Loves to Care.
Subaru Loves to Care – Spreading Warmth and Hope
The initiative has a primary goal of supporting leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma patients by providing them warmth in the form of blankets and emotional support through hand-written messages. The patient care kits donated by North Park Subaru contain necessities for patients and were personalized by the employees and customers of North Park Subaru.
Not just limited to gifts, North Park Subaru extended their charity to a significant monetary contribution as well. They donated $10,000 to the LLS Urgent Need Pediatric, Adolescent, and Young Adult Fund. This fund aims at supporting young blood cancer patients and their families who might be struggling financially. The funds will be used for non-medical expenses, including groceries, transportation, and household utilities.

Stephen Markham, General Manager of North Park Subaru, expressed empathy for the difficulties faced by patients and their families during cancer treatments. “Providing warmth, love, and support to those who need it most is one of the many ways North Park Subaru gives back as part of the Subaru Love Promise, and we’re grateful for our partnership with LLS and Texas Oncology to make a meaningful impact in the community,” he stated.
