In the heart of San Antonio, a nine-year-old boy named Avery Quiroz is making waves with his unique hairstyle, affectionately dubbed the “Texas Waterfall.” Avery, a student in the Judson Independent School District, recently advanced to the final round of the USA Mullet Championships after securing the 16th spot in the second round of voting.
Growing his hair for two years, Avery was inspired by his uncle’s similar hairstyle. “Avery loves the way it looks flowing out of his baseball cap,” shared his father, Eduardo Quiroz. “At this point, he is emotionally attached to it.” This love for his distinctive mullet has earned him recognition and a spot in the finals.
The final voting round is open until August 21, allowing fans to show their support for Avery. This competition not only highlights creative hairstyles but also supports the valuable mission of Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors, a nonprofit providing mortgage-free homes to wounded veterans.
Fans can participate by casting their votes for Avery through the championship’s official voting link. Every vote brings him one step closer to potentially being crowned the champion of the kids’ division.
Avery’s journey in the USA Mullet Championships goes beyond just a funky hairstyle; it’s a testament to creativity and passion. The Texas Waterfall may just be the key to unlocking a bright future for this young San Antonio talent!
