A homeowner in San Antonio was shot at early Sunday after chasing burglary suspects out of his neighborhood.
At around 5:30 Sunday morning, officers responded to a reported shooting on Astra Trail between 410 and Texas A&M San Antonio. A neighbor informed the police that the homeowner, who was sitting in his car, spotted suspects allegedly trying to break into cars in the neighborhood and decided to confront them.
As the suspects attempted to flee in their car, the homeowner initiated a chase through the neighborhood. The pursuit continued for a few blocks before gunfire erupted. During the altercation, the homeowner’s vehicle was struck once in the windshield, fortunately leaving the homeowner unharmed.
