First up, we’re kicking off the month with the 10th Annual Car Show at Market Square on October 5th and 6th. If you love vintage cars, this is the event for you! Running from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, this car show is sure to thrill the automotive enthusiasts and families alike. You can stroll through a dazzling array of classic rides, get up close and personal with these magnificent machines, and even learn a bit about automotive history. What a great way to spend the day with family and friends!

Dia De Los Muertos Cultural Celebration

Next, immerse yourself in the traditional Dia De Los Muertos Cultural Celebration from October 26th to 27th. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., this vibrant celebration promises a heartwarming tribute to life with cultural activities, beautifully crafted altars, face painting, and lively music. Make sure to catch the stunning Monas Cultural Dance Procession between 1 and 2 p.m. It’s guaranteed to be a mesmerizing display that beautifully intertwines dance and storytelling—it’s an experience you don’t want to miss!

Weekend Programming at Market Square

But wait, there’s more! Every weekend this month, Market Square will be bursting with life as it hosts exciting weekend programming. La Villita’s Open-Air Market and Family Fun

Over at La Villita, you can experience a string of delightful events throughout October! Every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the area transforms into a fantastic open-air market! Famous for featuring local artisans, craftspeople, and food vendors, La Villita Market Days is ideal for finding unique treasures while enjoying quality food and company.

Mark your calendars for October 5th and 6th to head to the La Villita Historic Arts Village, where artists from all over Texas will showcase their work along with delicious food and live music. What better chance to find something special to take home?

More Family Activities and Festivals!

For families looking for more fun, the Craft Tuesday Pumpkin Painting Party on October 8th is perfect for all ages! Join in from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. as all supplies are provided, making it super easy for everyone to unleash their creativity!

Fashion lovers, don’t miss the 2024 Community Fashion Show hosted by the Marisol Deluna Foundation on October 20th at 2 p.m.. It’s in support of the Linda Luna Duffy Creative Hope Initiative, complete with a pop-up fashion showcase and refreshments!

Lastly, bring your favorite dance partner to Dancing in the Dark on October 22nd from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.. It’s a fantastic costume dance-off that invites creativity and fun!

A Grand Finale with the River Parade!
