San Antonio Resort Sets the Stage for Fall Country Fest

With its zen-like spa, startling greens, and shimmering pools, La Cantera Resort & Spa in San Antonio has long been a destination known for relaxation and luxury. However, this year the upscale property is stirring things up. In October, the resort will launch its inaugural music festival, featuring an impressive lineup of top Country artists and songwriters.

A Full Line-up of Country Hitmakers

Running from October 2-4, the festival, dubbed Tip of the Hat to Texas, boasts a star-filled roster. Attendees will enjoy performances by hitmakers like Randy Rogers, Ben Burgess, Coleman Jennings, Tony Lane, Heath Warren, Palmer Anthony, Ty Myers, and William Beckmann. Partnering with Renate Event & Design and music publisher Warner Chappell, La Cantera is determined to make this inaugural event a memorable one.

“We’re always striving to elevate the guest experience and offering them something extraordinary and unexpected,” says La Cantera Resort & Spa General Manager Ben Turner. “We’ve built our brand on settings that inspire, and now we’re presenting opportunities for guests to meet singers and songwriters as new songs come to life in live performances.”

First Night Festivities

On the first night of the festival, attendees will enjoy a dinner show at the SweetFire Kitchen featuring performances by Beckman and Lane. After the meal, guests can relax to the soothing sounds of free acoustic sets by Warren, Burgess, and Antony in the hotel’s lobby.

Main Festival Attractions

The main highlights of the festival are set for the following day, October 3. A singer-songwriter showcase taking place on Plaza San Saba, will be headlined by Rogers. On October 4, the festival turns up the volume with The Texases, known for their energetic renditions of honky-tonk classics. A fast-rising local band with a dedicated fan base, The Texases have brought their lively sets to various sites across Texas, from Austin’s The White Horse to San Antonio’s Stable Hall and Lonesome Rose, making them a much-anticipated act at the festival.

Festival Packages

Festival tickets come à la carte and range from $20-$100, with proceeds set to support the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Scholarship Fund. Although the events are open to everyone, La Cantera has prepared one-night accommodation bundles for $249-$289, ensuring a safe and convenient stay for festival-goes attending the late-night performances.
