San Antonio’s Sweet Retreat: Andy’s Frozen Custard Expands with Third Location

Andy’s Frozen Custard Makes Waves in San Antonio With New Shop

San Antonio, July 2nd, 2024 – Feast your eyes on something sweet! Andy’s Frozen Custard, the much-loved frozen treat outlet, is setting up its third shop in San Antonio, thus expanding its footprint across the city. Breaking ground at 9703 Potranco Rd, this fresh shop is strategically located near John Paul Stevens High School and Dr. Winn Murnin Elementary.

Andy’s Frozen Custard takes pride in offering handmade custard freshly made every hour in each store. The well-established chain is renowned for its thick Concretes (custard interspersed with diverse toppings), Jackhammers (custard mixed with assorted toppings and a hot fudge center), sundaes, and splits. All Andy’s outlets exude a charming, classic custard-stand ambience featuring walk-up windows, drive-through facilities, and inviting outdoor patio seating complemented with lawn games.

Continuing Expansion in San Antonio

Andy’s made a memorable entry into the San Antonio frozen treats scene at the Rim in 2022, following up with a second location in Stone Oak in October 2023. As per a recent release, construction for the third shop broke ground early this month with an expected unveiling to the public in early 2025.

Joseph Shields, owner of all three outlets in San Antonio, expressed his excitement about the expansion. He mentioned, “San Antonio continues to love Andy’s, and we’re excited to continue to open new locations across town”. For Shields, Andy’s is more than just a neighborhood scoop shop; it is a place where families and friends can forge new memories over delightful treats while hanging out on the patio or the lawn.

Ready to Serve Seven Days a Week

With the new addition, Texas will house 32 Andy’s locations, including branches in Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. Regardless of the day, Andy’s is ready to serve their frozen delights to the city folk. Operating hours are from 11 am to 11:30 pm from Sunday to Thursday, and from 11 am to midnight on Friday and Saturday.

San Antonio’s love for a good frozen treat and Andy’s commitment to providing handcrafted custard promises to keep this sweet love affair going. As the summer heats up, locals have something delightful to look forward to – a scoop of Andy’s Frozen Custard!
