Hey, San Antonio! We’ve got some news that you might want to hear about. It’s serious, but every person in our community plays a vital role in keeping our streets safe. Police in our lovely city are on the lookout for a suspect involved in a hit-and-run incident that took place back in September.
Let’s rewind to September 20, 2024, when a 31-year-old woman was simply doing what she loves best—jogging in the 7200 block of Culebra Road. Right in front of the QuickTrip convenience store, she was unexpectedly struck by a vehicle exiting the store’s parking lot. It’s one of those moments where you really can’t believe what’s happening, and sadly, it ended with the driver speeding away instead of stopping to help.
According to the police, the driver was reportedly inside the QuickTrip before the crash. After the collision, this individual chose not to render aid and drove off without a second thought. Now, that’s just disheartening, isn’t it? No one should have to deal with a situation like this, especially not alone.
Now, here’s where you come in, San Antonio! If you happen to recognize the man in the photograph or the black pickup truck connected to this incident, you are urged to take action. It’s easy! You can contact San Antonio Crime Stoppers at (210) 224-7867. They’re even accepting tips via text—just send “Tip 127” followed by your information to CRIMES (274637).
And for those who prefer using mobile apps, the P3 Tips app is available for download from both the App Store and Google Play. You can report your tip there too. How convenient!
For the community-minded folks out there, here’s an exciting tidbit: Crime Stoppers can pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to felony arrests in this case! So, if you have any information and want to make a bit of extra cash, now’s your chance to make a difference!
It’s moments like this that remind us how important it is to watch out for one another. San Antonio has always been a community that bands together, especially when someone is in trouble. If you see something strange or out of the ordinary, don’t hesitate to speak up. Your knowledge could make all the difference in ensuring justice is served.
So, remember, the next time you’re out in our wonderful city, keep your eyes peeled. If you recognize anything from this incident or have any helpful insights, let those in the know find out. In the meantime, let’s all stay safe while enjoying our jogs, drives, and everything else that makes this city special! Until next time, San Antonio!
