Minimal Rain Chances, Temperatures Rise Sunday Throughout San Antonio

Minimal Rain Chances, Temperatures Rise Sunday Throughout San Antonio

A Glimmer of Rain amid Warm and Humid Weather

Despite the warm and humid weather conditions across San Antonio today, there is a slight chance for minimal rain, providing a much-needed relief from the sweltering heat. With temperatures expected to linger in the mid-90s, meteorological predictions hint towards a minimal 20% rain chance closing in around 4 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Summarizing the Weather Highlights

  • San Antonio: Expect a humid day with a high in the low-mid 90s, marred with stubborn morning clouds, but some small chances of isolated rain between 4 p.m. – 9 p.m.
  • Near Rio Grande: Morning showers are likely with extra clouds covering the skies keeping temperatures in the mid-80s.
  • This Week’s Forecast: We anticipate hot, humid, and a rain-free week in San Antonio.
  • Cool Front Hit: The expected cool front may not arise until October.

Keeping an Eye on the Changing Weather

The recent dryness in San Antonio was briefly interrupted by light overnight showers near the Rio Grande due to a tropical depression near Baja California. This event will cause some extra cloud over these regions today.

While our western counties stay fairly cloudy, the San Antonio area will witness some sun today, with temperatures projected to climb to the mid-90s. The western areas near the Rio Grande will stay in the 80s.

A few storms are also predicted to develop near Austin between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. There’s a small chance (20%) that these storms could reach San Antonio. Otherwise, residents should anticipate a hot and humid day, which is projected to be the trend all week long, with highs above average for this time of year and a relatively rain-free forecast.

If cooler weather is what you’re hoping for, we may have to wait until next month for another front. We advise residents to monitor the weather reports and updates closely to keep safe.
