Hey there, San Antonio! Get ready to mark your calendars because the Celebration SA New Year’s Eve Party and Countdown is just around the corner! This fabulous event is set to take over downtown San Antonio on December 31st, and if you love big, fun celebrations (who doesn’t?), this is one dodge-the-bullet event you won’t want to miss!

When and Where?

Kick-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. and will keep the party vibe alive until the clock strikes midnight. Just imagine a night filled with live music, yummy food (because who can resist?), exciting carnival games, and of course, a spectacular fireworks display that will leave you gasping with joy!

A Special Tribute

This year, there’s an extra special element to the festivities. The San Antonio Parks Foundation plans to honor none other than our beloved Mayor Ron Nirenberg, who is finishing up his fourth and final term next May. He’s been a steady hand in San Antonio’s growth and development and will be leading the countdown! So prepare your cheers, folks, it’s a chance to express our gratitude!

Music, Food, and Fun Galore!

Market Street is where it all kicks off with the beats of DJ Celebr8 spinning from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Keep your dancing shoes ready, because after DJ Celebr8 wraps up, the band Melange by Intensity Entertainment will take the stage to keep the vibe going with live music and fantastic cover vocals!

And the fun doesn’t stop there! Civic Park at Hemisfair and the historic La Villita will join in on the excitement with an array of activities and performances. Plus, you’ll find the stunning Winter Wonderland Village, created by St. Phillips College’s Construction Technology students – you’re going to want to snap those Instagram pics!

Family-Friendly Festivities

Are you bringing the kiddos along? Yanaguana Garden at Hemisfair is a must-visit from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be crafts, music, games, and a delightful children’s carnival at the South Alamo Lot behind the Magik Theatre. It’s the perfect way for families to create lasting memories together!

Ready to Start the New Year?

As midnight approaches, get ready for a lively dance party featuring Cumbiatron at Hemisfair and Sound Cream Airstream! There’ll be a photobooth set up so you can capture those last-minute memories of 2024, all while getting yourselves pumped up for the big countdown!

Fireworks to Light Up the Sky

The grand finale? A stunning 14-minute fireworks display that is sure to dazzle! Just a reminder, though, it’s illegal to set off personal fireworks in the city limits, so sit back and enjoy the show!

Get Involved and Give Back

This dazzling night is completely free for everyone! However, if you’re feeling generous, the Parks Foundation suggests a donation of $25 per person to help support future events. If you’re feeling extra festive, donations of $150 or more will score you a cozy Hemisfair picnic blanket and four drink tickets, while supplies last!
