Reports indicate that on November 15, 2024, he was alleged to have recorded a 17-year-old female without her consent while in a motel bathroom during a family visit. The police were notified of this incident just ten days later, on November 25.
Officers from the Rockport Police Department reached out to Kasberg on December 9, just one day before his death. He had agreed to meet with them to discuss the investigation. Unfortunately, he did not get the chance to do so, as his life ended in the most tragic of ways.
The loss of Officer Kasberg has understandably taken a toll on the San Antonio police community. In light of recent events, the SAPD has stepped up its commitment to mental health support by providing resources for officers.
