SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) and Hyundai have announced the hosting of a free anti-theft software event this weekend on the West Side. The move is a response to the escalating vehicle thefts and culminates efforts by the SAPD and Hyundai to enhance vehicle security for local residents.
The significant feature of this event is the highly advanced anti-theft software that Hyundai has developed to protect vehicles from a mode of theft that’s recently been gaining notoriety on social media platforms. Hyundai owners attending the event will be provided with this anti-theft software in addition to a complimentary steering wheel lock, further fortifying their vehicles against unauthorized intrusions.

The SAPD estimates that the software update will take less than 30 minutes for installation on-site.
