Police Request Assistance In Identifying Suspect In A Violent Robbery
The San Antonio Police Department is of necessity to the assistance of the public in the capturing of a suspect who made off with merchandise from a Family Dollar store and recklessly assaulted a gallant store employee who dared to confront him. The incident took place in the afternoon hours, around 12:15 pm on April 8th, towards the crossing of Pleasanton Rd and W Southcross Blvd situated on the city’s Southside.
The Incident
According to the official reports obtained on the situation, the offender attempted a blatant act of theft, trying to take away store items without compensation. However, when a courageous store employee confronted him, the suspect showed his violent side, assaulting the brave employee and, without further hesitation, made a hasty exit from the premise.

The San Antonio Police are appealing to anyone who could have potentially valuable information concerning the suspect or any notes on the robbery to step forward and contact Crime Stoppers at the number 210-224-STOP. The department reassures informants that their identities will be kept anonymous and that Crime Stoppers is willing to pay up to $5,000 as a reward for helpful facts that lead to the perpetrator’s arrest.
