The second phase of the Dean Road Reconstruction Project in Cibolo, San Antonio, commenced on February 29, marking a significant milestone in the city’s infrastructure development.
The project, part of a larger initiative approved by the City Council with a budget of $5.18 million, began following the initiation of the first phase on January 29. During this phase, access will be limited to residents only, and traffic will be redirected through Turning Stone and FM 1103.
City officials have stated that D&D Contractors Inc., the construction company handling the project, will ensure an all-weather surface is maintained during the construction period. Efforts will also be made to accommodate residents living along Dean Road, which is expected to be completed by late April.
Jarrett Whitener, a reporter covering local government and infrastructure development for the Northeast San Antonio Metrocom, emphasized the importance of this project for enhancing transportation networks in the area.
Whitener highlighted that the reconstruction of Dean Road signifies the city’s commitment to improving road infrastructure to meet the growing needs of residents and businesses in San Antonio.
