In the early hours of Thursday morning in San Antonio, a young man was shot and tragically killed in an incident that has left the community in shock. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. in the 200 block of Carranza Street, close to the intersections of Quintana Road and Frio City Road.
When police arrived on the scene, they found a man who appeared to be in his late teens or early 20s suffering from multiple gunshot wounds—reportedly as many as three. Emergency responders quickly transported him to a nearby hospital, but, sadly, he later died from his injuries.
As of now, authorities have not released the name of the victim and are seeking to understand the circumstances surrounding the shooting. According to police, there are currently no witnesses who have stepped forward, and details about potential suspects remain unclear.
Investigators did find a single shell casing at the scene; however, it remains uncertain if the shooting actually occurred at the location where the man was discovered. Additionally, it does not appear that there are any surveillance cameras in the immediate area that could assist in identifying those involved.
The investigation continues as police urge anyone with information to come forward. The San Antonio Police Department, along with the San Antonio Fire Department and EMS, were all involved in responding to the emergency call.
This tragic event highlights ongoing concerns about violence in the area and raises questions about safety in the community. Residents are encouraged to stay aware and report any suspicious activity to local authorities.
