This rich tradition honors those who’ve passed away through colorful altars filled with photos, marigolds, and traditional bread—the pan de muerto.

Throughout the city, various festivals will be held, each offering unique ways to honor loved ones. For instance, at the Mission San José, you can view beautiful ofrendas created by descendants of the original settlers every day through November 2. Meanwhile, the Briscoe Western Art Museum invites you to contribute to an altar that celebrates influential figures in Western art, running until November 4.
