The festivities begin with the Western Heritage Parade & Cattle Drive on February 1, 2025. This exhilarating event is set to roll through the streets at 11 a.m., showcasing the rich history and culture of the West.

Parade and Pre-Rodeo Festivities

The parade will start at the intersection of Interstate 35 and Houston Street and culminate at the iconic Alamo. It’s a great way to soak in the local spirit, wave to cowboys and cowgirls, and maybe catch a glimpse of some impressively adorned cattle.

Don’t forget to lace up your running shoes bright and early on Saturday morning because before the parade, there’s the Stampede 5K starting at 9 a.m. This running event will kick off and finish at Milam Park, located at 201 W.
