Tobin Center for the Performing Arts presents Piano Men: Generations. Father and son duo Terry and Nick Davies pay tribute to legendary artists Billy Joel and Elton John at the Tobin Center. Guests will embark on a musical journey through Joel and John’s most timeless hits to celebrate the many contributions both icons have made to the entertainment industry. Classical Music Institute presents Six Pack. Classical Music Institute (CMI) string members team up with guest pianist Daniel Anastasi for a six-person performance that features masterpieces by rarely heard composers at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts. Arrive an hour early for the chance to meet and mingle with CMI artists in a pre-concert discussion. Attendees are also encouraged to stick around after the show for a post-concert “prost” to end the evening.
Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club presents Corey Holcomb. Comedian and radio host Corey Holcomb is the latest special guest at The Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club. He’s best known for regular appearances on improv shows including Last Comic Standing and Nick Cannon Presents Wild ‘n Out. Shows are scheduled through March 3.
Mexican American Civil Rights Institute presents Latina Spring Film Series: Breaking the News. The Central Library hosts a special screening of the documentary film, Breaking the News, presented by the Mexican American Civil Rights Institute and KLRN. Following the screening, guests will also participate in a live Q&A with the film’s director/producer and San Antonio native, Chelsea Hernandez. Complimentary refreshments and popcorn will be provided. Admission is free and open to the public.
