San Antonio is currently seeing an unsettling wave of violence, with multiple shootings occurring just over the weekend. Residents are left rattled as these incidents unfold across different parts of the city, raising concerns about safety and community well-being.

Saturday Night Shopping Turns to Tragedy

The troubling events began on Saturday night, shortly after 10:30 p.m., at the intersection of McLeod Street and Hamilton Avenue. In a seemingly ordinary moment of shopping, a man was shot while he was buying clothes. Initially, police did not find any victim at the scene. However, a 39-year-old man later made his way to the hospital, seeking medical attention for gunshot wounds he suffered in the shooting.

This man had been shot three times but chose not to cooperate with authorities during questioning. He was quickly taken to the hospital and remains in critical condition. Currently, police have no identified suspects or even a crime scene for this particular incident, which adds to the mystery surrounding the violence in the area.

Police soon learned that a drunken neighbor, identified as a 30-year-old man, had instigated the confrontation. This unfortunate situation escalated to gunfire when he shot the man in the chest.

Fortunately, the suspect was arrested and is now facing multiple felony charges. Meanwhile, both the male victim and the female victim are receiving medical treatment, and their conditions are still being monitored.

18-year-old man was shot in the chest and leg while taking out the trash at his home in the 1400 block of Norfleet Street. He reported being confronted by three masked individuals, who opened fire on him multiple times. Thankfully, the teen’s injuries were deemed non-life-threatening, but he was still rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Police suspect that the three armed individuals may have fled in a vehicle, though initial searches did not yield any suspects. This particular shooting contributes to the growing concern over safety, especially with so many offenders still at large.
